The Campus Climate Survey is a university-wide initiative designed to better understand the experiences and perspectives of our community members. The insights we gather will guide our ongoing work to ensure that the University remains a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for all.
Campus Climate at the University of Minnesota
In February 2023, the University of Minnesota system, led by the Office for Equity and Diversity in partnership with the Office of the President and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, conducted its inaugural systemwide Campus Climate Survey to evaluate the experiences of faculty, staff, and students.
The 2026 survey data will capture satisfaction with the overall campus climate, intergroup interactions, and discrimination. It will identify areas where the University is excelling and areas where we may need to focus our attention in order to stay true to our mission.
Ultimately, this campus climate survey is a tool for cultural change. By regularly assessing the climate and tracking progress over time, the university can work towards creating a more inclusive culture. University leaders, students, staff and faculty are ready to learn more from the data and our institution is committed to action.
